Roadmap
Where Nexus is headed
Built in the open. Here's everything I've shipped, what I'm working on now, and what's on the horizon. This page updates as the project moves.
In Progress
· 1Actively being built right now.
Retrieval relevance hardening
Q3 2026Keep every map on-topic: a token-budget-paced embedding pipeline so the semantic relevance filter always runs (no silent rate-limit fallback), plus better domain detection and disambiguation for ambiguous seeds (e.g. "phenomenology", "attention") and finer cluster granularity.
Next Up
· 3Planned and prioritized. Coming soon.
Session management UI
Q4 2026Rename, duplicate, favorite, archive, and tag your saved sessions. Search across all your past explorations.
Publication-ready graph export
Q4 2026Export your graph as SVG, PNG, or a shareable read-only link. Vector formats preserved for use in papers and slides.
Streaming chat responses
Q4 2026Token-by-token streaming for the AI co-pilot. Faster perceived response time, especially for long syntheses.
Exploring
· 3Ideas I'm weighing. Tell me if any matter to you.
Multiplayer sessions
ExploringInvite collaborators to a live session. See cursors, comments, and edits in real time. Built on Supabase realtime.
BibTeX / Zotero export
ExploringOne-click export of flagged papers into BibTeX, RIS, or directly into your Zotero library.
Semantic similarity search within session
ExploringDrop a paper, paragraph, or idea — find the nodes in your current graph that are semantically closest using pgvector ANN.
Shipped
· 6Live in production. Use them today.
Phase 1 — Core exploration scaffold
May 2026Topic input, D3 graph canvas, cluster detection, outlier flagging, AI-generated research directions, Supabase auth, session heartbeat.
Landing preview graph
May 2026Animated mini-graph on landing page showing what a real session looks like.
Home page redesign + interactive background
Jun 2026Mouse-reactive particle network behind the hero, scroll-driven roadmap section, refined typography, and live preview interactions.
Full session persistence
Jun 2026Every session — nodes, edges, clusters, prunes, and flags — written through to the database as you work. Resume any session from any device; nothing is lost on tab close.
Snapshots & undo timeline
Jun 2026Checkpoint your exploration into immutable snapshots. Undo/redo with ⌘Z, scrub a branching history timeline, and revert to any prior state — forking a new line rather than losing work.
AI co-pilot graph editing
Jun 2026Claude and Llama propose structured changes — add concepts, link clusters, prune dead ends — with confidence scores, a preview-before-apply modal, per-edit toggles, and a full audit trail. Move from advisor to collaborator.
Have an idea or a feature request?
Nexus is built for and with researchers. If something's missing or broken, I want to hear about it. Reach out and I'll either add it to the roadmap or fix it directly.
